[11:11 PM] A fascinating story in today’s LA Times about CIA problems in both Afghanistan and Iraq. I suppose it’s obligatory that the story mention the “intelligence failure” angle with regards to pre-war assessment of the Iraqi threat. But this is more a story of how difficult it is to operate in conflict zones especially in the Middle East or Central Asia. Give it a read.
